Olorunnimbe Mamora

Dr. Sen. Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora, CON, is a medical practitioner and a politician.

He holds degrees, B.Sc in Health Sciences (1978) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MB. ChB. (1981), from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife.

He was Medical Officer to Cadbury Nig. PLC, Ikeja and was in active private medical practice as MD/Proprietor of Nimbus Medical Centre in Ogudu, Lagos, till 1999 when he went into partisan politics.

He was elected Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly (1999-2003), Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2003-2011), appointed Federal Minister in Health and Science, Technology and Innovation (2019-2023).

Sen Mamora holds the National Honour, Commander of the Order of Niger, among many other decorations. He holds the chieftaincy title, “Apase of Lagos”.

Sen Mamora’s hobbies include football, chess, singing and traveling. He is married with children and grandchildren.
